Certainly, it has some tough competition. With its large and growing fanbase and expansive menagerie, itвЂ™s fair to wonder whether Monster HunterВ has the very best bestiary in gaming right now. Monster HunterВ is fun to play on its own, but itвЂ™s managed to thrive for nearly two decades now in large part because its titular beasts are so huge, so scary, and so memorable. It can also breathe fire, and when it does, itвЂ™s terrifying. It may only be a dragon, but itвЂ™s a big dragonВ -В with poison talons and a big clubbed tail. TheyвЂ™re joined by the familiar Rathalos, the franchiseвЂ™s de facto mascot (a creature famous enough that it makes an appearance in Super Smash Bros., though sadly not as a playable character). A glance over the Monster Hunter Rise rosterВ reveals familiar faces like the Tobi-Kadachi, an electric-squirrel creature that previously appeared in Monster Hunter: World, and the Khezu, a beast resembling a lamprey eel (shudder) that made its debut way back in the original game. Monster HunterвЂ™s bestiary has a life of its own, with each creature bringingВ its own unique history.

ThereвЂ™s nothing more off-putting than fake looking blood, it can really kill your experience and make you think of ketchup. The pool of blood that forms around any dead body is also improved to look much more realistic. That means that blood is loosened up and has a better вЂsprayвЂ™ effect during death of any of the characters. While it doesnвЂ™t increase the volume of the blood itself, it retextures it. If youвЂ™ve downloaded and installed the More Blood mod, this one goes really well with it. ThereвЂ™s a lot of variation in the kinds of grass youвЂ™ll walk on: different hues depending on the setting, but theyвЂ™re much denser than the vanilla game grass. Did you know that the human eye is capable of seeing more shades of green than any other color? ThatвЂ™s why getting the Smooth Grass mod will definitely bump up the immersive game experience. HereвЂ™s an unpopular opinion: itвЂ™s far more important that the grass looks realistic, since youвЂ™re spending more time on land than water.

YouвЂ™ll always find mods that try to improve upon the visual element of water, making it look hyper-realistic.
